Hi, I’m Elena
I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based in the Algarve, and I capture love stories across Europe, with heart, curiosity, and a camera that’s always slightly sandy.
I’m originally from Bulgaria, spent a decade living in the UK, and now call Portugal home most of the year (alongside my partner and our little zoo – three naughty cats and two even more mischievous dogs).
My Style
My photography is emotional, soulful, and full of movement. I love golden light, natural landscapes, and people who aren’t afraid to feel. The posing is minimal. I’ll be directing you gently when needed, but mostly letting things unfold.
And I fear direct midday sunlight no more! I’ve got my ND filter, so if you plan to get married at noon, I’ve gotcha!
My editing is natural and clean – no airbrushed skin or distorted faces here. The only thing I’d photoshop out is your bra strap that doesn’t belong or the bin behind you, which I didn’t manage to avoid on the day. I don’t believe in changing how people look. You’re both beautiful already.
What I do believe in: good light, good timing, and a little bit of magic.

Not for couples who care more about the dress shots than the in-between moments.
It’s not for anyone who wants 1,000 staged group photos or a shot list longer than your guest list.
